Carl bowled well all day qualifying 3rd with a 229 average. His high game was 300 in game two of qualifying and bowled a low game of 189 in game 6. Averaging better than 249 in the first 4 rounds of eliminations he was looking like he was destined to win his first title. This month's tournament took place at Rose Bowl Lanes in Windsor Ontario Canada where we used the Kegel Beaten Path oiling pattern. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
We had a disappointing turn out with only 29 bowlers this weekend partly due to two other conflicting tournaments going on the same day. There were 7 super seniors, 4 super super seniors in attendance. In our Elimination Rounds we had 4 SS and 1 SSS with the rest of our seniors.
The Tournament average this weekend was 201, 6 pins higher than our last tournament. It took a total of 1265 and an average of 211 or better to make it to the Elimination Rounds above the cut line set by Ernie Segura Jr. High Qualifier was Mike Calvin with 1463, averaging out to 244.
There were two regular seniors, three super seniors below the cut line. Bob Frink and Wayne Dubs were the two senior's and Pete Minaudo was the highest SSS out of the four in attendance to advance below the cut line.
We ended up with 14 bowlers in the Elimination Rounds, providing a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There was one honor scores with our second place finisher Carl Kinyon shooting a 300 in game two of qualifying.
