Route 66Congratulations to Larry Walker for his win this month at Oak Lanes defeating Larry Salvati from Mississauga Ontario, who was bowling in his first SSO Tournament. Larry defeated Larry 236 to 212 in the final match and picking up the first place cheque of $1000.00.

Walker qualified 1st while Salvati made the Elimination rounds in the 12th spot. Walker also shot the only honor score bowling a 300 in the 5th game of qualifying. This was Larry's second SSO win for the season as well.

Congratulations also to Larry Salvati for his 2nd place finish and taking home the $500.00 2nd place prize. Salvati made the Elimination's by being the high Senior below the cut line and had a chance to win it all.

June 2014

It took +96 or a 216 average to make the cut. The Senior out of the cut was +93 (216) while the two Super Seniors out of the cut were +84 (214) and +66 (211).

The oil patter this month was the Kegal "Route 66". If you could match up properly you could score but if you failed to play the correct area you were in for an unforgiving downward spiral full of splits and washouts.

Our Super Seniors once again provided 1/3 rd. of the qualifying field with 15 in attendance this month.

Special Thank You goes out to an anonymous donation towards the support of the SSO. I'm sure this is very much appreciated by all.

The Senior Singles Open would also like to thank our sponsors; Red Robin Restaurants, Motiv Bowling Products and Turbo Grips for their support of our tournaments.
