Congratulations this month to SS Bill Essman on winning his 1st SSO Singles Championship by defeating first time finalist Victor Dye (right) in the final match, 232 to 212 taking home the top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and 10 points toward this season's BOTY category. Bill qualified 11th with 1232 and an average of 205.
Congratulations also goes out to Victor Dye on his 2nd place finish. Victor took home our $500.00 prize and 8 points for his BOTY standings. Dye qualified in the 10th position averaging 208 with a 1239 total pin fall.
This month's tournament was held at Century Bowl. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 189 or 17 pins lower than last month.
We had 89 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 8 SSS, 32 SS and 3 female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
We also had 30 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
It took a total of 1215 and an average of 203 or better to make our regular cut line set by Bill Kazmiersiki.
High Qualifier was SS Mike McCleskey with 1413 total pin fall with an average of 236 after his first 6 games..
