Congratulations this month to Jeff Austreng on winning the SSO Championship first time Single Bracket Elimination tournament by defeating HOFr Troy Stus. Jeff qualified 7th in our 6 game qualifier round with a total pin fall of 1388 averaging 231..Jeff also took home the trophy, $1000.00 and will received 10 points towards his BOTY standings.
Congratulations also goes out to runner up HOF'r Troy Stus on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Stus qualified in the higher position in 4th place with an average of 233 and a total pin fall of 1426 for his first 6 games.
The top four qualifiers, after 6 games of completion, (Victor Dye, Todd Sim, Steve Krywy and Thomas Bond) received a bye into the second round of single elimination match play competition.
This month's tournament was held at Summit Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 205.
High Qualifier was Victor Dye with 1506 total pin fall with an average of 251 after his first 6 games.
We had 82 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 7 SSS and 30 SS and 4 female with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1290 and an average of 215 or better to make our regular cut line set by Gary Schluchter.
We also had 28 bowlers in our Bracket Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There was one 298 game by Victor Dye in game 6 of qualifications.
