Congratulations this month to previous champion Mike Kereluk on winning this week ends SSO Southwick Lanes Singles Tournament with the winning score of 279 to 279 in the final match, over HOFr Gerald Johnson SS, after two rounds of 9th and 10th frame roll-offs. The first roll-off we were still tie with both bowlers throwing perfect scores of 60. In the second roll-off Mike shot another perfect 60 to finally win the match and taking home the $1000.00 first place prize and Trophy plus10 points going towards his BOTY standings. Mike qualified 6th with an overall average of 231 while Gerald qualified 9th averaging 228 for his 6 games.
Needless to say this was our highest and most exciting match play finals ever.
Congratulations also goes out to runner up HOFr Gerald Johnson on his fantastic finals match and winning the second place prize of $500.00. Gerald qualified in 9th with an average of 228. Gerald will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.

This month's tournament average was 209.
High Qualifier was Bill Froberg with 1536 total pin fall with an average of 256 after his first 6 games including an 816 series. Once again the 'HIGH QUALIFIERS CURSE prevailed with Bill going out out in the first game of Eliminations with his lowest game of his day. Go figure!
We had 48 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 7 SSS and 16 SS and 1 female with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1342 and an average of 224 or better to make our regular cut line set by Jeff Kruzel.
We took 15 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were two honor scores this weekend. High Qualifier Bill Froberg shot 816 in his first 3 games of qualifying and we had a 299 game by Rick Parschen in his 5th game of qualifying. Jerome Clever had 11 in a row with his 297 in game 4.
