The SSO would, once again, like to congratulate HOF'r Gerald Johnson on, this time, winning his 26th SSO Championship Title. This is also Johnson's 4th "Back to Back' wins. Gerald defeated Dave in the final match 300 to 218 and picked up the first place prize of $1000.00, another trophy and earning 10 more points for his BOTY standings. Gerald qualified 6th with 1348 and an average of 225.
Congratulations also goes out to Past Champion and runner up Gary Duarard on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Gary qualified 24th with an average of 214 for his first 6 games. Duarard will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.
This month's tournament was held at 5Star Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 198.
We had 92 bowlers in attendance. There were 11 SSS, 30 SS and 1 Female with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1286 and an average of 214 or better to make our regular cut line set by Bond Thomas.
We also had 32 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
For honor scores we had three 300 games, one by Rusty Walter, Ken Wyatt and Gerald Johnson. We also had a 299 by Gary Duarard in Round 2 of Eliminations.
