The SSO would like to congratulate John Shreve Jr. on winning his 1st SSO Championship Title by defeating Dave Danielak in the final match 248 to 208. John picked up the first place prize of $1000.00, the trophy and earned 10 points for his BOTY standings. Shreve qualified 4th with 1437 and an average of 240.
Congratulations also goes out to Dave Danielak on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Dave qualified 21st, one spot below the regular cut line, with an average of 218 for his first 6 game total pin fall of 1310. Danielak will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.
This month's SSO Non Champions tournament was held at Century Bowl. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This tournament average was 206.
We had 94 bowlers in attendance with the tournament booked full more than a week ahead and bowlers on a wait list. There were 8 SSS, 30 SS and 5 Female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1313 and an average of 219 or better to make our regular cut line set by Mike McCleskey.
We also had 30 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were two honor scores for the tournament. We had one 300 Game by Amos Mathis in game 6 of qualifying and one 300 by David Danielak in round 3 of Eliminations
