Congratulations goes out this month to Mike Lucente on winning his first SSO Championship by defeating Ken Wyatt in the final match 214 to 212, taking home our top prize of $1100.00, the trophy and earning 10 more points towards our BOTY standings. Mike qualified 21st with a six game total of 1365 this month and an average of 228.
Congratulations also to HOF’r Ken Wyatt on his second place finish winning $550 and picking up 8 points towards BOTY. Ken qualified this month in 15h with an average of 232 and a total pin fall of 1390 for his first 6 games.
This month’s tournament was held at Bonanza Lanes where we requested a modified house shot as the oiling pattern. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend. The Tournament Average was 214, or 28 pins higher than our previous singles event.
High Qualifier this month was Mitch Jabczenski SS with 1484 for 6 games, averaging better than 247.
It took a total of 1364 and an average of 227 or better to make our regular cut line set by Brian Brennanb.
We had 88 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 33 super seniors and 8 super super seniors and one female with the rest of our regular seniors.
We also had 28 bowlers advance to our Elimination Rounds, 12 SS and 2 SSS along with the rest of our regular seniors. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were no 300 games or 800 series but we had a 290 by our high qualifier in game one of Eliminations.
