Grand Finals Results
Congratulations to Joe Krajenke SS on his first SSO Championship by defeating Brad Gray in the final match 225 to 170 taking home the beautiful crystal pin trophy and the $1800 top prize. Joe qualified 11th after his first 6 games with a 1407 total pin fall and an average of 235. After 4 rounds of Eliminations his total pin fall was 2362 and advancing to the stepladder finals. In match 2 he shoots a 299 and 236 to make it to the final match.
Congratulations also to Brad Gray on his second place finish winning the $1400 second place prize and another beautiful crystal trophy. Brad qualified in 7th with a total pin fall of 1423 after his first six games then finishing as the top seed after 3 rounds of Eliminations having to wait and see who he will bowl in the final match.
This month’s tournament average was 213, 7 pins higher than our last tournament average.
We had 94 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 32 super seniors, 8 super super seniors with the rest of our seniors.
We also had 44 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds, 17 SS and 1 SSS along with the rest of our seniors. This provided close to 1 out of 2 cashing ratio for the tournament.
High Qualifier was Bowler of the year Gerald Johnson with 1510 total pins with an average of 252 after his first 6 games.
There was a 290 game by Edwin Peart in game 6 of qualifying, another 290 by Rick Wayne in his first game and Mark Lobdell had a perfect game in his last game of qualifying. Joe Krajenke also had a 299 game during match 2 of our step ladder finals.
