SSO Bonanza Singles
The SSO would like to congratulate HOF’r Larry Walker on winning his 10th title and championship in the SSO Bonanza Singles event. Larry defeated Ray Edwards SS in a close final match 247 to 237 and picked up the first place prize of $1200.00, another trophy and earning 10 more points for his BOTY standings. Walker qualified 20th with 1346 and an average of 224.
Congratulations also goes out to Ray Edwards on winning his second place prize of $600.00. Edwards qualified down in 31st with an average of 218 for his first 6 games. Ray will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.
This month’s tournament was held at Bonanza Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month’s tournament average was 205.
We had 134 bowlers in attendance this weekend!!. There were 8 SSS, 51 SS and 7 Female with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1308 and an average of 218 or better to make our regular cut line set by Todd Sim.
We also had 46 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
For honor scores we had one 300 game by Steve Sharp SS in game two of qualifying. There was also a 299 game by Mary Sanders
