SSO Oct. 15th HOF Tournament Results
The SSO would like to congratulate HOF’r Gerald Johnson on winning his 26th Championship Title by defeating past Champion Steve Kenyon in a close final match of 258 to 256. Johnson picked up the first place prize of $1000.00, another trophy and earning 10 more points for his BOTY standings. Gerald qualified at the cut line with 1387 and an average of 231.
Congratulations also goes out to runner up Steve Kenyon on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Kenyon qualified in 3rd with an average of 242 for his first 6 games. Steve will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.

This month’s tournament was held at Plaza Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month’s tournament average was 216.
Special Mention goes out to High Qualifier Eddie Mintz with 1555 total pin fall with an average of 259 after his first 6 games.
We had 82 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 12 SSS, 31 SS and the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1387 and an average of 231 or better to make our regular cut line set by Gerald Johnson.
We also had 30 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
For honor scores we had one 800 series with Eddie Mintz shooting 805 for his first 3 games. Mark Meinema had 299 while Bill Froberg and John Chapman both had 290 games during qualifying.
