300 Bowl – August 23, 2025

Congratulations to Troy Stus on his 6th SSO title as he defeated Kris Warner 278-225 at 300 Bowl in Waterford. In the championship match, Warner started with two spares, which turned out to be one too many, as Stus started with the front 8 before leaving the 2-5 in the 9th frame. Stus received $1,000 for his first-place finish while Warner, looking for his first SSO title, collected $500 for second. We had another great turnout of 97 bowlers at 300 Bowl.

During qualifying, Amos Mathis led the way with an impressive 6 game block of 1498, followed by Randy Warnken (1474), and Troy Stus (1472). Mathis also posted the only 300 of this event in game 1 of qualifying.

The cut to make the top 24 was 1348 (Peter Senf). Our extras out of the cut to move on in the elimination rounds: In the Super Senior division (60+) Bruce Wright (1334), Jessie Bowersock (1304), Rick Haist (1289) and Jamie Adams (1288); In the super-super senior division (70+) Jeff Suma (1329) Rick Parschen (1322) and Larry Wilson (1293); In the women’s division was Teri White (1306) and Stacey Timmer (1295).
