The SSO would like to congratulate FRANK, CAMILLERI – SS – HOF on winning his 3RD. SSO Championship Title by defeating Ken Wyatt – SS – HOF in the final match 247 to 193. Frank picked up the first place prize of $1000.00, the trophy and earned 10 points for his BOTY standings. Camilleri qualified tied for 12th with 1413 and an average of 236.
Galaxy Singles 2Congratulations also goes out to former champion Ken Wyatt on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Wyatt will receive 8 points towards his BOTY standings. Ken qualified in 26th with a total pin fall of 1354 and an average of 258.
This month’s tournament was held at Galaxy Lanes – Grand Blanc. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month’s tournament average was 214
We had 97 bowlers in attendance with the tournament. There were 7 SSS, 37 SS and 3 Female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1358 and an average of 226 or better to make our regular cut line set by Greg Cronce.
We also had 31 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were 5 300 games and 1 800 series.
- Bill Kazmierski shot 835 in his last three games of qualifying. His games were 268, 267, 300!
- Don Nyenhuis – 300 Game 4 of qualifying.
- Dave Schumacher – SS – 300 Game 4 of qualifying.
