Congratulations this month to SS Rick Parschen on winning his first SSO Singles Championship by defeating past champion Steve Kenyon in the final match, 257 to 180 taking home the top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and 10 points toward this season’s BOTY category. Rick qualified in 18th place with 11401 and an average of 234.
Congratulations also goes out to past champion Steve Kenyon on his 2nd place finish. Steve took home our $500.00 prize and 8 points for his BOTY standings. Kenyon also qualified in 2nd place averaging 250 with a 1500 total pin fall. Steve also bowled a perfect 300 game in his 3rd game of qualifying.
This month’s tournament was held at Lodge Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month’s tournament average was 220. High Qualifier was Brad Gray with 1503 total pin fall with an average of 251 after his first 6 games.
We had 78 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 8 SSS, 28 SS and 2 female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1393 and an average of 232 or better to make our regular cut line set by Bill Froberg.
We also had 27 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There was two 300 games, one by Steve Kenyon and the other by Brian Burk. We also had one 290 (11 in a row) game by SS Ken Wyatt.
