Aug. 3rd. 2019 Results
Congratulations goes out this month to our new SSO Champion Steve Kenyon on winning his first SSO Singles Championship by defeating Gary Duarard in the final match 256 to 191, taking home our top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and earning 10 more points towards our BOTY standings. Steve qualified 6th this month with a total pin fall of 1311 and an average of 219 in the qualifying rounds. Kenyon also advanced to round 2 in Eliminations by just 2 pins however saved his high game of the day for the final match. See Rule seven. Oh, and you will not be able to bowl our Non Champions Tournament again. :o)
Congratulations also to Gary Duarard on his second place finish, winning $500 and picking up 8 points towards BOTY. Gary qualified one spot below the cut line, set by James Hardy, with an average of 212 and 1273 total for his first 6 games. Gary also bowled our only honor scores with 299 in the 3rd round of eliminations.
This month’s tournament was held at Century Bowl where we requested the “USBC White 3 pattern”. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
The Tournament Average was 201, or 19 pins higher than the previous month.
High Qualifier this month was Steve Mrakitsch with 1407 for 6 games, averaging better than 235 or 29 pins higher than last months average.
It took a total of 1279 and an average of 213 or better to make our regular cut line set by James Hardy SS.
We had 54 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 22 super seniors, 2 super super seniors including 2 females with the rest of our seniors.
We also had 19 bowlers advance to our Elimination Rounds, 2 women, 7 SS and 2 SSS along with one the rest of our seniors. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There was one honor score with a 299 in our Elimination Rounds.
