SSO Galaxy Singles
The SSO would like to congratulate HOF’r Frank Camilleri on winning his 2nd SSO Championship Title by winning the 9th and 10th frame roll-off after a 245 tie in the final match. Camilleri qualified in 4th with 1392 and an average of 232. Frank picked up the first place $1000.00 check and 10 points towards his BOTY standings.
We’d also like to congratulate HOF’r Rick Wayne on his second place finish, picking up $500.00 and obtaining 8 points towards his BOTY standings. Rick qualified in 8th with 1356 total pins with a 226 average going into the Elimination Rounds.
This month’s tournament was held at Galaxy Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month’s tournament average was 201.
We had 106 bowlers in attendance. There were 14 SSS, 39 SS and 1 Female with the rest of our seniors. This was the third consecutive singles tournament with over 100 attendees.
It took a total of 1292 and an average of 215 or better to make our regular cut line set by Mike Pannuto – SS.
We also had 36 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
We had one 290 game by Gerald Johnson in game 2 of qualifying.
