Century Bowl – August 1, 2026

Congratulations to Gerald Little on his 1st SSO title as he defeated Jamie Adams 224-158 at our non-champions event at Century Bowl in Waterford. Little becomes the oldest champion in SSO history at 73 years old! In the championship match, both Little and Adams found strikes hard to come by, especially on the left lane which seemed to be quite a bit tighter than the right. The turning point was the 7th frame when Adams went high leaving the Greek church. Little was steady all match filling frames and catching a double early and a turkey late to seal the victory. Little received $1,000 for his first-place finish while Adams collected $500 for second. We had another great turnout of 89 bowlers looking for their first title at Century Bowl.

During qualifying, Adams led the way with an impressive 6 game block of 1433, followed closely by Glenn Libtow (1422), and Peter Senf (1417). High game of the day was recorded by Mike Bosco with 299 in game 2 of qualifying.

The cut to make the top 22 was 1313 (Tim Bell). Our extras out of the cut to move on in the elimination rounds: In the senior division (50+) Rob Slizewski (1307); In the Super Senior division (60+) Ken Jackson (1312), Chris Toyias (1291), Keith Young (1283), and Lamont Neal (1282); In the super-super senior division (70+) Lew Ansara (1280), John Clinton (1280) and Joe Elden (1214).
