The SSO would like to congratulate Jerry Kopec - SS on winning his 1st SSO Championship Title by defeating Jeff Austreng in the final match 234 to 204. Jerry picked up the first place prize of $1100.00, the trophy and earned 10 points for his BOTY standings. Kopec qualified 3rd with 1458 and an average of 243.
Congratulations also goes out to Jeff Austreng on winning the second place prize of $550.00. Austreng qualified 19th with an average of 229 for his first 6 games. Jeff will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.
This month's tournament was held at Astro Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 207.
We had 101 bowlers in attendance. There were 9 SSS, 34 SS and 5 Female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1360 and an average of 227 or better to make our regular cut line set by David Danielak.
We also had 34 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
For honor scores we had a 299 by Ken Wyatt - SS, and a300 by both Carl Bishop and Rick Bertrand - SS
