The SSO would like to congratulate first time champion Brian Esterle on winning his 1st. SSO Championship Title by defeating Bob Edwards in a close final match 198 to 197. Brian picked up the first place prize of $1000.00, the trophy and earned 10 points for his BOTY standings. Esterle qualified 7th with 1432 and an average of 239.
Congratulations also goes out to Bob Edwards on winning the second place prize of $500.00. Edwards qualified in 24th just below the cut line set by Dave Shambaum. Bob will receive 8 points for his BOTY Standings.
This month's tournament was held at 300 Bowl. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 210
We had 90 bowlers in attendance with the tournament. There were 13 SSS, 37 SS and 2 Female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1340 and an average of 223 or better to make our regular cut line set by Dave Shambaum.
We also had 32 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were 5 honor scores;
300 Perfect Games
- Jeff Austreng 300 in game 3 and an 826 Series in his fist 3 games of qualifying.
- John Shreve Jr. 300 in game 3.
- Dave Eatmon 300 in his first game of qualifying.
- Dave Danielak 300 also in game 3.
This made for 3 Perfect Games in game 3 of qualifying. I think Eatmon figured it out best. :o)
